About the Company

Swindler Cave Studios is owned and operated by Michael Swindler, its sole proprietor.  Videos are shot on a combination of rented and owned cameras with audio captured using discrete audio recorders for superior sound.  Post-production is done on a bespoke workstation built in 2016 using state-of-the-art components.  Post-production tools include Adobe's Creative Cloud suite (e.g. Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, etc.) and the open-source 3D tool Blender, among others.

About the Owner

I have a BS in Information Technology with a specialization in Multimedia and Visual Communication. I work full-time as a software engineer and have a busy family of five. The studio remains very much a side business for me.

I started making movies in 2000 as a hobby and soon purchased professional video editing software. After making a few photo slideshows for clients I acquired high definition (HD) camcorders and in 2007 made the business official. I produced several wedding videos and websites (the latter a service I no longer offer due to the ever-evolving nature of the Internet) before my own family started to grow.

In 2012 my workplace began to take advantage of my skills, and I produced 2-4 videos for them per year until recently.  Due to time constraints I now take on only a few projects a year at most.
